The Bailiffs Division is led by Cpt. Hobe Runion. There are three full time deputies, and fifteen part time deputies who act as bailiffs. A courtroom bailiff is a sworn peace officer and is a member of the Sheriff's Office. The bailiff's duties are to provide security for the courtroom, the judge, the staff and those in attendance,transport prisoners to and from court, and prevent escapes. The Bailiffs also assist in the administration of court functions as directed by the judge and the clerk.
