William Hogan of the Greenwood area was reported to the Sheriff’s Office as missing from his residence at around 1:00 am on 3-26-13. Deputies responded to the home off of Gerald Holt Way.
They met with Mr. Hogan’s wife who said she left Mr. Hogan at their home at around 6:30 pm on 3-25-13 to go her mother’s home. When she left their home Mrs. Hogan said her husband was sitting on the back porch and stated he did feel very well. At around 10:00 pm Mrs. Hogan returned and could not locate Mr. Hogan. Mrs. Hogan and some of their family members looked around on the property, but did not find Mr. Hogan. They called law enforcement for assistance.
Mr. Hogan has only lived at his home for about the last month. Mrs. Hogan described her husband as a “homebody” who does not leave their residence very often. Mr. Hogan suffers from emphysema and a bad heart. He is not known to walk very far without having difficulty breathing. Mr. Hogan also was home without a vehicle. Mrs. Hogan found Mr. Hogan’s cell phone at their home.
Mr. Hogan is described as a white male in his early 50’s. He wears glasses and has short brown hair. He is thought to be wearing a dark jacket and blue jeans. He may be wearing some brown pull on work boots.
Sebastian County deputies and assisting officers from the Greenwood and Mansfield Police Departments have been searching and canvassing the area in the hopes of finding Mr. Hogan. A canine unit was also deployed to assist in the search. Thus far the efforts have not located Mr. Hogan. A new group of personnel will be on the scene at daylight to continue the efforts.
