Failure to Register as a Sex Offender

Warrants for Joseph K. Johnson
Failure to Register as a Sex Offender
11-18-2013
Inv. P Pevehouse

Two warrants were issued in August of this year for Joseph K. Johnson, 30 years of age and of the Jenny Lind area, for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.  Johnson’s location is unknown at this time.

Johnson’s charge that resulted in him needing to register under the law was Sexual Indecency with a Child.

Johnson is described as a white male and 30 years of age.  Johnson stands at 6’ 2” tall and weighs 165 lbs.  He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Johnson has been assessed as level II offender.  Level II is defined as a moderator risk of re-offending.

A warrant was issued on 11-15-13 for Timothy S. Marshall, 50 years of age, for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.  The warrant was served on 11-16-13 and Marshall is currently in custody.

Marshall was convicted of Rape and Sodomy in California.  Marshall registered with the SCSO in October of 2013 and claimed that he would be living in the Arko Community outside of Huntington.  Follow up investigation revealed Marshall was not residing at the address he gave in registration.

Marshall has been assessed as a level III offender.  A level III offender is assessed to have a high risk of re-offend.

Since January of 2013 the SCSO has arrested 10 sex offenders for failing to comply with the terms of their sentencing.  The SCSO has also assisted in 3 arrest for other agencies.

Anyone with information on Johnson’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office at 479-783-1051.
